Hi Guys! I’m Cassie, a 30-something-year-old wife, mom, and banker living in a suburb of Oklahoma City. In my little corner of the universe you can find recipes, family fun, and mini-adventures we take around our great state of Oklahoma.
Our Family
My husband, Jake, is a licensed professional counselor and dad extraordinaire. Lydia is 12 years old and a typical middle schooler. She loves all things art, is learning the clarinet, and has quite the knack for LEGO creations. Wilder is 5 and lives up to his name. He’s a zero to sixty kind of kid who is always on the go and keeps us on our toes. Lastly, we have Scout, our boxer mix who has a real affinity for shredding toilet paper.
Cardiomyopathy
Recently, our family adventure has taken a twist. In early 2020, Wilder was diagnosed with Restrictive Cardiomyopathy and we learned he will eventually need a heart transplant. He’s currently doing well, but we plan to record our journey with cardiomyopathy here. This story is just beginning – so we don’t know the ending yet, but we’ll certainly take you along for the ride.
